I had my weekly doctor appointment Tuesday and everything went great. Carter passed his test within 5 minutes like usual and I was measuring on track. Oh and I found out I'm GBS (group B strep) negative which is great. If I tested positive for it it basically just means that if my water was to break I'd have to go into the hospital right away to get on antibiotics. Since I'm negative for GBS, if my water actually does break (I'm doubtful) then I can labor at home instead of in the hospital. This is what I'd like to do, although I highly doubt any of this will happen. I'd have to go into labor on my own before 39 weeks which is unlikely.
How far along?: 36 weeks 5 days
Total weight gain: 13 pounds
How much does baby weigh?: About 6 pounds
Maternity clothes?: Yep. All my pants & most tops.
Stretch marks?: Same ones as before but they're growing
Sleep?: I can't sleep more than 45 minutes at a time now because my hips hurt all night long. But last night I took some Tylenol PM before bed and I actually slept for 3 hours in a row. It was so nice.
Best moment this week?: Finding out I'm GBS negative.
Movement?: Yep, he still moves a lot. It's not so much kicks anymore it's more rolls now and sometimes they're uncomfortable because he's so big.
Food cravings?: Red grapes still
Labor signs?: None yet, still not having ANY contractions as far as I know.
Belly button in or out?: It's back to an outtie. :)
What I miss: Sleep and being comfortable
What I'm looking forward to: My next baby shower this weekend
Milestone: If I was to go into labor now they wouldn't stop me because he's just about ready as it is.
If I do actually go into labor on my own, or when I'm in the hospital laboring I will be texting or calling Kaci so she can keep you updated. I hope you don't mind Kaci! :)

Pregnancy updates
How far along?: 34 weeks 4 days
Total weight gain: 10 pounds
How much does baby weigh?: Almost 5 pounds
Maternity clothes?: Yep. All my pants & most tops.
Stretch marks?: Same ones as before, but they're getting a little bigger.
Sleep?: Horrible! The bad nights of sleep started this last weekend and they haven't gotten better. My hips and back hurt all night long.
Best moment this week?: Getting the crib and finishing the wainscoting on the walls
Movement?: Yep, more and more everyday
Food cravings?: Still frozen yogurt.
Labor signs?: None yet
Belly button in or out?: Out. Especially at night after dinner :)
What I miss: Sleep
What I'm looking forward to: My first baby shower this weekend
Milestone: I'd say 34 weeks is a good milestone. If I was to deliver Carter's chances of survival are excellent.

Updates
My doctor's appointment went well yesterday. I had my first NST (non-stress test) and it went great. The doctor said that they will test for anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on how the baby cooperates. Carter was moving around so much during the test, which apparently is a good thing, and I was done in 5 minutes. The doctor said that he's happy in there. He also mentioned that he wants to induce by 39 weeks. Holy cow! That's like 6 weeks away. And that means I'll have a baby NEXT MONTH! Crazy!
My next appointment is on Tuesday the 19th and I'll have another NST, then the following week I start going twice a week for NST's. Lots of appointments for me. That's what happens when you're considered high risk. Oh well, it was actually fun to sit there and listen to his heartbeat for 5 minutes yesterday.
How far along?: 32 weeks 4 days
Total weight gain: 6 pounds
How much does baby weigh?: Just over 4 pounds
Maternity clothes?: Yep. All my pants & most tops.
Stretch marks?: Same ones as before, but they're getting a little bigger.
Sleep?: Not too bad, but not great. I know it's going to get worse though so I'm not complaining too much.
Best moment this week?: I'm going to say going to the Ellen Show, even though that was last week.
Movement?: Lots. This last week he has gotten SO much more active.
Food cravings?: Frozen yogurt and I can't get enough red grapes. I was never a big fan of grapes before but OMG they're so good.
Labor signs?: None yet, thank you very much.
Belly button in or out?: It's pretty much an outtie now. It doesn't stick out a lot but it's not flat anymore.
What I miss: Energy
What I'm looking forward to: My baby showers
Milestone: I'm almost 33 weeks, doctor said he wants to induce by 39 weeks which means I have about 6 weeks left. OMG!
Here's a pic of the goodies I got to take home from The Ellen show. We took home the diaper bag, bottles, monitor, bedding, Baby Bjorn, a pack of diapers, the tub of baby products, digital camera, shutterfly gift card and the Ellen onesie. The rest of it was given in gift cards/coupons.
Here's the Ellen onesie she gave away. It's so cute. My cousin and I are going to get together after the babies are born and take a picture of them together with this onesies, hats and booties on then send the picture to Ellen. People did that last year and she showed it on this years Mother's Day Special.

Carter wants out
I think he's been trying to get out.....through my belly button. Yep, he's breaking free. I swear this boy feels like he's about to rip through my skin sometimes. It's a little uncomfortable but I love it. I woke up at 2:00 this morning and holy cow he was pushing his little feet or elbows or whatever out so much it was crazy.
This weekend we have some friends coming over to help paint the nursery. Yay! And one of my baby showers was pushed back so we have more time to get it done. My first baby shower (for friends/younger crowd) is on May 30th and the second one (for mainly family/older crowd) is the weekend of June 13th-14th. We haven't decided on a day yet for the second shower. So that leaves us with 4 weekend left (one of those being a 3 day weekend) to finish the nursery before we have a bunch of people over. We also have our childbirth class scheduled for Friday May 15th, after work from 6-9pm and Saturday May 16th from 9-1. I'm looking forward to that.
So after today I only have two more days of work until I get my little vacation. I usually count down my vacations not by how many days total, but by how many days I have left that I have to wake up early, lol. The guest room is all set up for Leah. She's coming over Tuesday night and we'll be leaving my house about 7:00-8:00 on Wednesday. Our flight leaves at 12:14 and we have a layover then we'll arrive in Burbank a little after 4:00.
I'll be posting the pictures of the progress of the nursery but here are some before pics;
Here's the closet

The ceiling after the sagging sheet rock was taken off

The ceiling after Grant re-sheet rocked it

The two windows (lots of natural light)

The current light fixture (I know you're jealous of this beauty)

And I'll leave with a cute picture. This was taken a few weeks back but I just saw it today. Carter and I love rockin' out to Rock Band.

Ladies and Gentelmen.....
The nursery is textured. Let me repeat, the nursery is finally textured. Holy hell, how long have we been waiting for this day?!? So this weekend we (or should I say "they") will be painting.

And I *think* we've decided that instead of the beadboard we're going to do wainscoting. I like this look much better but we're going to see how easy this will be to do so we're not sure yet. Here's an idea of what I like.

Also, 8 more days until we leave to go to the Ellen show. I'm so excited!
Here's my latest belly pic, it's from this morning. I can't believe how big I am. I seriously don't feel this big. I guess this is why I'm starting to waddle and why my hips hurt so bad at night. LOL!

Just got back from appt.
and so far so good. I drank that nastiness of a thing they call the glucose drink. And ya, it was gross. Remember those little bottle shaped wax candies with the different colored liquid in them? That's pretty much what it tasted like but I had to drink a lot more then what's in the candy.
If my sugar comes back high they will call be by Monday, if it's within normal then I won't get a call. I'm praying I don't get a call because I don't want to go to the next step if I fail, which is a 3 hour glucose test. I've heard they really suck.
On a good note we got another ultrasound and the doctor said that Carter looked great. He confirmed again that it's a boy, and it's DEFINITELY a boy. He said that the baby looks good, fluid looks good and placenta looks good. He's still breech but it's nothing to worry about. I can tell his position by the location of the kicks and I know on Monday he was head down so he moves a lot.
So I go back in 3 weeks because I've been being seen on odd weeks and the doctor wants to put me back on his normal schedule. So I'll be 30 weeks at the next appt. Then after that I'll be going every two weeks. Holy cow I can't believe I'm almost there. Grant has been able to go to every appointment so far but I think that once it goes to every two weeks he'll have to pick and choose which ones he'll go to. Of course I'm okay with that, he doesnt' need to be taking all that time off. And I only get one more ultrasound, at 36 weeks, so he'll be going to that one for sure.
So that's about it. Tomorrow I am 26w6d which I'm counting as third trimester. Here's a funny pic that I thought I'd share;

Holy Cow, tomorrow I'm half way there!
Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed!
I can't believe how fast this time has gone by. Here's a belly pic from today
Crazy!

16 weeks down, 24 weeks to go
2 weeks to go! Just 14 days! I can't wait to see Poppy again. I really hope that we can find out the sex. I think I need to have a little talk with Poppy about showing the goods. I might have to promise something really nice in order to get it done but I'm willing to do that.
I have my 16 weeks belly pic. I swear my belly grows everyday.

And according to my scale at home I still haven't gained any weight. I'm still down the 7 pounds that I lost in the 1st trimester. I've been walking as much as I can and I've been eating really healthy so hopefully I won't gain too much overall.
That's about it for now. I still feel great, and still to this day I have not felt sick at all. I'm okay with that. Hopefully I'll start feeling movement soon. It could be anytime now (although it's still a little on the early side).

7 hours and 37 minutes
Until I get to see Poppy! YAY!
And per the many requests (or one, whatever) here is my 14 week belly picture.
I can't believe how big my belly is. I think that it's bigger than normal because I'm so short. Not only am I just a wee 5'1" but I also have an extremely short torso, with the curved spine and all. So that's my theory. Well that and I had a little extra fluff to begin with. And keep in mind that this picture is just after I ate a huge meal at my parents. My stomach starts out smaller in the morning and progressively gets bigger throughout the day.
So there it is. I will try and update tonight and let you know how my doctor appointment goes. I can't wait to schedule my next appointment because that should be when we find out the sex.
Oh and my friends dropped off a whole bunch of baby clothes, diapers, formula and a breast pump for us. Most of the clothes are boys but they said that I can take them into 2 Peas in a Pod and get credit if we end up having a girl. That was so nice of them. The clothes were so cute too. I want to buy hangers then hand them all up.
Okay, well wish me luck for today's appointment!

Bump, Bloat or too many cupcakes?
You be the judge;

4w1d vs. 12w1d
And just for the record, I'm actually sucking in a little on the second photo. I can't believe the difference in the size of my belly! I honestly didn't think it has changed much but when comparing it to my 4w1d picture I see that it has. No wonder my clothes don't fit anymore.
Thursday was the family Christmas party at my grandma's and I got to meet my cousin's baby who is 4 months. He's adorable. My cousin also gave me a bag full (I'm talking giant black garbage bag) of clothes. Then Haley came by last night and brought me yet another bag full of maternity clothes and another one with toys. I have such great friends and family. I honestly don't think I will have to buy any more maternity clothes.
I can't believe how big little Poppy is getting there on the sidebar. I can't wait to see the baby on our next ultrasound (in just 14 days). And I only have 8 days until I'm in my second trimester, YAY! I still feel absolutely wonderful. No sickness or nausea whatsoever. I think I might actually be out of the woods. Well I think that's all for now. I'll leave with some info on Poppy for this week.

As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.

Not much to update.
There's not much going on. I finally found the cable to upload the pictures from my camera to my computer so I have some stuff to show you! Here we go;
We'll start with the belly picture taken
the day I found I was pregnant, so 4w1d.
As you can see I'm not skinny by any
means. In my defense though, I was
already bloated, hehe. I'll be taking more
pictures once I actually start to show a
baby bump, rather than the dinner bump
I'm showing now.

So that's it for now, I'm still feeling great so I'm happy. I can't believe how fast this is going!

Here are all the clothes I got on sale

deals and that they all fit. That was
a great day!

And last but not least, I have made a few purchases for the nursery. So far I'm banking on a girl because that's all I've bought for so far. I decided that if it's a girl the nursery will be pink and brown and I will decorate it with some sheep. I say some because I'm not big on themed nurseries where everything matches so I'll just do pink and brown and through a few sheep in here and there. So here was my first purchase for the nursery.
So that's it for now, I'm still feeling great so I'm happy. I can't believe how fast this is going!
